On Tuesday we welcome the staff and volunteers of the aspca Behavioral Rehabilitation Center to Memorial as part of our Foundation Ticket program. The ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center uses behavioral, operations, and medical expertise to rehabilitate dogs with behaviors that impact adoptability and quality of life and collaborate in educational partnerships with shelters. At the BRC the staff work with dogs that are so fearful they cannot be placed in homes or function as companion animals. Using their treatment protocols and the team working together they have an 86% success rate in placing these dogs in homes where the dog and the adopter have a good quality of life. In addition to their 30 team members, the BRC provides volunteer roles for people interested in animal welfare from the community and place really wonderful dogs into the Ashville community.
