#CollegeTeamTuesday Part Two! Meet our Chemistry and AP Chemistry teacher Alexandra BuWalda, as she shares about why she applied college. "Growing up there was never any question of whether or not I would go to college but I always wondered where I would go.  I never thought I would be academically competitive enough to apply to a school like Cornell University.  However, many people in my life encouraged me to apply Early Decision to increase my chances of getting in.  On December 14, 2006 I found out that I had actually got in!  I applied to Cornell because I would be able to pay in-state tuition.  It was the best school I could go to for the cost.  I applied because I wanted to have more options for my career and life goals.  I also wanted to be the first person on my dad's side of the family to graduate from college. "
