I find that if I take a local cab, rickshaw, or even camel, it’s easy to persuade the driver to avoid the norm and take me somewhere more authentic. In fact, they’re normally delighted to show off the real side of their hometown. You can end up in amazing restaurants, photographing unique scenery or wandering down hidden back streets.
