FP Journe, Girard Perregaux, Ferrari, and Roberto Rossellini? That may be an unlikely grouping, but this Girard Perregaux combines them all. A highly limited watch with just 125 examples ever produced, this monopusher chronograph was designed to celebrate the Ferrari 375MM, the only post-war car to ever win the coveted Pebble Beach Best-of-Show title. That car was custom designed by Scaglietti for famed Italian director Roberto Rossellini. Naturally, a watch paying tribute to such an iconic car deserves an equally iconic movement. It utilizes an ebauche produced under the direction of FPJourne, Denis Flageollet, and Vianney Halter—the same movement that was featured in the Cartier Tortue CPCP monopusher.
