MB&F HM9 Sapphire Vision (or SV for short) is what Max Büsser called “the most beautiful movement we’ve done to date” and completely reimagines the meaning of a watch case. One of five ever made, this is the first time an HM9SV has ever appeared at auction. While the original HM9 was a nod to aircraft of the 1940s and 1950s, the SV doubles down on that in a truly retro-futuristic way. Adorning the underside of each balance wheel are elegantly machined propellers rotating in tandem, while the sapphire dial with luminescent indices and handset are playfully reminiscent of 1940s pilots watches.
