To wear a Rolex GMT-Master is to wear a slice of aviation history. Created at the outset of the jet-age and used by the likes of Pan American World Airways pilots, the early GMT-Masters are truly romantic things. The present example dates to 1956 and is known by its reference '6542'. Notable for their fragile radium impregnated bakelite bezels, this particular example has aged beautifully over time developing an enchanting patina.
