Formally known as the F. P. Journe Octa Réserve de Marche, this piece is better known as a 'Brass Movement Journe'. Produced between 2001 and 2005, the Octa Reserve de Marche is significant in the repertoire of FP Journe. It was not only the first automatic wristwatch made by the independent watchmaker, but also the world's first automatic wristwatch to reach a power reserve of over 120 hours. A true collectors grail—and a highlight of the earliest years of François-Paul Journe's eponymous brand—this piece is featured in the Fine Watches online auction at #SothebysNewYork, ending 13 September.
