Worn by Opéra de Paris dancer camille__bon, rolex has donated a brand new, never worn Daytona, Reference 116500LN. Launched at Baselworld in 2016, the redesigned Rolex introduced a number of notable design and material upgrades on its predecessor. These included both black and white dial options and, most strikingly, a monobloc Cerachrom Tachymeter timing bezel in black, which evoked historic examples of the Daytona such as the references 6241 and 6263 with their contrasting black acrylic bezel. Sotheby’s has joined forces with arop_operadeparis, the Association pour le Rayonnement de l’Opéra de Paris, to support operadeparis by organizing an auction to raise funds for projects organized around its four core values: Creation, Openness, Preservation and Transmission.
