Only a few manufactures have skeletonized pieces in their catalogue and Gérald Genta saw the artistic potential of a skeletonized movement. Although the vast majority of these models are part of the men’s selection, Genta was one of the very few to use this complication in women’s pieces.
In an original prototype design from Genta, he imagined a highly decorated piece requiring the highest degree of skill to create the movement and the case. He did not sacrifice the legibility of the watch, using contrasting hands and blue sapphires as divisions on the diamond-set bezel.
