The legendary watch designer Gerald Genta stated on many different occasions that this very design - for a perpetual calendar desk clock -was one of his favourites. It took him a week to paint as it was so intricate. When it was revealed to the original purchaser, a King in the Middle East, they asked that the enamel, originally blue, was made in a beautiful green.
