Featured here is Rolex Reference 6241, introduced in the mid 1960s. It replaced the reference 6239 with a striking new bezel. Instead of solid steel, the successor features a steel ring with black acrylic insert and tachymetre printed in white. At first glance, the new reference looks completely different but on closer inspection, it really only is the new bezel that was changed. The present example is fitted with the popular tri-colour Paul Newman Daytona dial with a clearly visible step, correct serifs and lumes that are all complete and react well under UV. The case is very crisp with exceptionally crisp numbers between the lugs, giving the watch a very appealing overall condition.
