Displaying Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc in all its glory, this VacheronConstantin pocket watch features a wonderfully painted polychrome miniature enamel. Painted by enamel artist Helen May Mercier in the 1940’s, the painting is rendered beautifully, capturing every small detail, down to fisherman on the shore and a couple in a rowing boat in the distance. This exquisite open face watch is arguably one of Vacheron Constantin’s most important miniature enamels. Not only has the brand hardly created any polychrome miniature enamel painted watches due to the exceedingly difficult and expensive process, but also there are only very few works credited to the artist of this painting, Helen May Mercier.
