F.P. Journe’s Ruthenium Collection was made between 2001 and 2004 and comprised of five models - Tourbillon Souverain, Chronometre a Resonance, Octa Chronographe, Octa Jour et Nuit and Octa Calendrier, made in only 99 pieces each.
The series represented a number of firsts for the brand, including its first series of limited edition watches, fpjourneofficial’s first annual calendar wristwatch, and the first time cases were increased from 38mm to 40mm. The watches have ruthenium-coated gold dials and ruthenium-coated brass movements. This dial design is distinctive Journe, with highly legible retrograde date on the left, apertures for day and month and off set small dial with running seconds all set via the crown.
