Tuesday night, Phillips’ 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale marked the third-highest total in Phillips’ history, realizing 138.9 million. Leading the sale was Cy Twombly’s monumental ’Untitled’ from the Bacchus series, and Colombian-born artist María Berrío achieved a new auction record. Wednesday’s Day Sale at 432 Park Avenue attracted competitive international bidding, leading to new auction records for artists including Richard Mayhew and Michaela Yearwood-Dan.
