Limited in production to just 50 pieces per year, IWC’s Portugieser Grande Complication saw the Schaffhausen manufacture pushing ever further in the demonstration of their watchmaking prowess. With a 45-mm case (slightly larger than the original Grande Complication watch of the 1990s),the Portugieser retained the impressive complexity of its predecessors, including minute repeater, perpetual calendar programmed until 2499, perpetual moon phases display and of course a chronograph.
