50 years ago, in 1969, Zenith revealed its El Primero automatic chronograph caliber, widely regarded as one of the world’s best and most accurate movements. The first examples in gold were produced in small batches, making them difficult to find in today’s market. But the latest Watches Weekly sale out of Geneva includes this reference G583 - of which only around 350 are thought to have ever been made. What’s more, this watch features the golden dial with tachymeter scale, which is one of the most highly-valued iterations.
