A visitor from the golden age of chronographs, this is Omega’s reference 2077, the first water-resistant chronograph they ever made. Introduced in 1937, the reference was powered by the now-renowned calibre 33.3 CHRO. This 1938 example has a beautifully-preserved dial, perfect for showcasing the watch’s deco features: two-tone dial; radium sword hands and Arabic numerals. All this, in harmony with the more utilitarian multi-coloured scales and registers, and large 38mm diameter. What’s not to love?! Lot 8 in our Watches Weekly sale - bidding closes tomorrow, so don’t miss out! Estimate CHF 20,000 - 30,000 - see link in bio. #sothebyswatches omega #omega #omegachronograph #chronograph #vintagechronograph #chronographwatch #vintagewatch #twotonedial
