Launched at #Baselworld in 2015, the Calatrava Pilot Travel Time was an interesting departure from the more traditional design aesthetic of Patek Philippe. Whilst the oversized model pays tribute to early pilot watches, the reference 5524G offers a modern, ‘user-friendly’ version of this watch type. The blue and luminous dial makes an excellent colour combination, which can be easily read when worn at night or in darkness. At the 6 o'clock position there is a large subsidiary dial for the date, as well as an aperture for home and local times at 3 and 9 o'clock with AM/PM indications.
