Dubbed the ‘Tintin’, this special Omega Speedmaster was introduced at Baselworld in 2013 and only produced for a few years. Originally produced in collaboration with the family of the Tintin comic book series creator, Hergé, the design features a nod to the red and white-chequered rocket in which Tintin visits the moon. Although the official collaboration came to an end, some of the design features were kept - another much-loved detail is the fact that the Speedmaster’s famous NASA case back inscription is in red lettering. It’s thought that only around 1,000 - 2,000 ‘Tintins’ were ever produced.
