David Hockney strikes a pose from the preview of his newest lacma exhibition 'David Hockney: 82 Portraits and 1 Still-life'. Opening this Sunday, the exhibition offers a vibrant and intimate view of people with whom the artist has developed relationships over the past 50 years, none of Hockney’s portraits are commissioned and most were painted in his Los Angeles studio. For this series he invited family, members of his staff and close friends to sit for him including John Baldessari, Douglas Baxter, Larry Gagosian, Frank Gehry, among others. '82 Portraits and 1 Still-life' is on view lacma beginning Sunday through 29 July. This show is not to be missed. Learn more at lacma.org.
