In 2017, our #Photographs category saw auction records established for photographers spanning the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, as well as landmark successes for private collections like The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation and #HenriCartierBresson: The Eye of the Century, Photographs from the Personal Collection of Peter Fetterman, both of which sold in New York. Meanwhile in London, ULTIMATE—now in its eighth edition—was 100% sold for the year. More so than ever, this year celebrated the power of collaborative creativity in fashion photography, working directly with the likes of #NickKnight, #CalvinKlein, #DavidSims and #StevenMeisel.
