Happy birthday to master textile artist & printmaker, #AnniAlbers! Annelise Albers' interest in textiles wasn't immediate: unlike husband #JosefAlbers, her gender precluded her from joining the glass workshop at the #Bauhaus that interested her most. After training with #GuntaStölzl, she ultimately came to love the tactile qualities of weaving and devoted a lifetime of artistic production to exploring its particularities and challenges.
