LDN - "I believe that a chest of drawers is the kind of furniture that most strongly communicates with man, even psychologically." - #ShiroKuramata, 1972. #Kuramata is just one of the designers for whom #JosefFrank was an inspiration, and one can't help but think that he might have been thinking directly of Frank's cabinet-on-stands when he said this. Rejecting standardised design for its formality and its removal of an element of chance, Frank's cabinet has varying drawer configurations - playing with the eye and speaking to the mind.
