CGN - 'Come to where the flavor is': namely, the museumludwig in Cologne. Known for his works on cardboard, #DanhVo's pieces are characterised by questions of appropriation, fragmentation, migration, and cultural identity - expressed in this case through his taking objects and recontextualising them. In 'Come to where the flavor is', 2015, Võ takes packaging that has arrived in the West from distant countries, and applies gold leaf and ink - giving them a new lease of life. #DanhVo's solo exhibition at the Ludwig Museum - sponsored by Phillips - runs until October 25.
