LDN – Admire the magnificent complete set of 10 woodcuts in ultramarine blue, “Untitled”, 1988 by #DonaldJudd on view at #PhillipsBSQ. Despite Judd’s dislike of working directly with printmaking tools, & the labour involved with carving the wood (a task he later entrusted to his father, Roy), Judd was pleased by the hard-edged abstraction the woodcut medium produced. This set will be offered in our Evening Editions sale tomorrow at 6PM.
