PIA DEKA STRONG & MILE 🍁 pureimpactathletics Finally took the trip up to Canada to see zach_tait11, ambertait, & the PIA squad for a change. Priority for me was to get a MILE mark on the board for the '24 season. I went out first thing in the morning, solo, and ran a 18:53. I'm happy with this as my first mark for the season, matching my last years PR (set in September before Worlds). I had to work for it & know where I can make improvements as the year progresses. Realistically, I should've waited and went out with oa_jbruce, spartanstamina, bryanneely12, or msteeds7 who all put up wicked times. That extra pacing & push we could have given each other would have been major benefit. After rippin' indy, I took on MILE Teams with zach_tait11 for the first time (15 flat) & PR'd STRONG Teams with momma_golik (12:15). Mom also did another indy STRONG and had a massive PR (-5:19!!).
