It’s almost time to say “safe travels” as our Monarch butterfly friends prepare to make their 2,000+ mile migration from Fargo to Mexico🦋🪻 Join the Fargo Park District, United Prairie and audubongreatplains for the community’s first Monarch Butterfly Tagging Event on Thursday, August 17 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Urban Plains Park. Participants will have the opportunity to help catch Monarchs and learn about the delicate art of attaching a small tracking tag to their wing by volunteer “Tagging Captains”. Monarch tagging events like this one help scientists gather crucial data Monarchs and their migrator behaviors.🌎 This event is free and open to participants of all ages.
