#TerrierTransfers Transition to BU (TTBU) is a transfer student peer mentoring group that was created by transfer students, for transfer students. Each semester, transitiontobu selects and trains transfer mentors from a pool of transfer students who have at least one semester completed at BU. Each mentor is matched with 1-3 new transfer students with whom they share commonalities, such as the same BU school or college, major or extracurricular interests. A mentor serves as a peer resource for the new transfer student. With regular check-ins, meet-ups, and communication, a mentor is a valuable resource to a new student who may have questions about which classes they should explore, how to navigate the BU Hub, the best spots for a bite to eat, and the most reliable study areas on campus. Last fall, TTBU held many events, including an Escape Room, a picnic on BU Beach, a movie night, and a finals de-stress event.
