#BUMajorMention: Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology The mission of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) program, founded in 1992, is to provide a roadmap for students to navigate the great many discoveries and breakthrough technologies occurring on an almost daily basis in the biomedical and biotechnological sciences. A BMB major will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to understand the chemical complexity of biological life. Graduates of our program are equipped with the skills to enter careers in rewarding and high-growth fields such as biotechnology and health care research as well as enter graduate programs, attend medical school or perform cutting-edge research. Research is central to the BMB program, and students may conduct research on a volunteer basis, for academic credit, or for pay.
