#BUMajorMention: Theatre Arts in the College of Fine Arts The BFA in Theatre Arts offers a unique opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing the study of multiple disciplines within the theatre. Rather than being a prescribed sequence of courses, the Theatre Arts major is interdisciplinary at its heart and ideal for students who wish to shape the content and trajectory of their course of study. The program offers ample opportunities for rigorous exploration of acting, directing, dramaturgy, playwriting, and design and production. The student assumes responsibility for crafting a program of study to develop, advocate for, and achieve artistic goals under the guidance of committed faculty mentors. The Theatre Arts course of study includes an internship, study abroad, and the development of a senior thesis. Fun Fact: Students will receive guaranteed assignments in our 35+ Show Season, twice a semester beginning sophomore year.
