This week’s #ThrowbackThursday comes from April 1975, when sculptor #SergioCastillo was welding some of the final pieces onto his #sculpture, Free at Last. Inspired by the memorable words of Martin Luther King, Jr. (GRS’55, Hon.’59) during his “I Have a Dream” speech, the sculpture stands at the heart of #MarshPlaza and depicts 50 doves to symbolize peace in each of the 50 states.
