Meet reeserenz, a senior sprinter/hurdler for cubuffstrack hailing from Bakersfield, Californa. Reese is the daughter of Yvette and Ryan Renz, both High School PE teachers and coaches. Her dad coaches football and track, while her mom coaches cross country and track. Boasting an athletic family background, her dad played football and ran track at Boise State, and her mom played volleyball at CSU Northridge. Reese is the younger sister to Payton Renz (22). Reese is a graduate of Liberty High School. She was a highly sought-after recruit, receiving offers from Washington, Notre Dame, UC Berkeley, Fresno State, Penn State, Boise State, and Nevada. Ultimately, she chose to further her academic and athletic career at Colorado. In high school, Reese earned recognition as a 2020 Gatorade Player of the Year nominee and secured a 3rd place finish in the 300m at the California State Championships.
