With movie theaters, along with other live performance venues, still trying to rebound from the drop in business brought on by the pandemic, it’s become increasingly common for culture pundits to predict that the end of moviegoing is near. Despite seismic shifts that have rattled the exhibition business, some hardy theaters have managed to survive, whether thanks to dedicated operators, devoted fans, or programming pivots. With several theaters that date back to the vaudeville days, Oregon is no exception. Many theaters may now just be fond memories, but others have kept going.
