With movie theaters, along with other live performance venues, still trying to rebound from the drop in business brought on by the pandemic, it’s become increasingly common for culture pundits to predict that the end of moviegoing is near. Despite seismic shifts that have rattled the exhibition business, some hardy theaters have managed to survive, whether thanks to dedicated operators, devoted fans, or programming pivots.
