Beautiful reflection from #uga15 grad @emilyparten 😭 ・・・ I have been asked 42,693 times over the past four years: why did you come to UGA? Never really knew how to answer it. Because for no particular reason, I visited one day, and it was visceral. Beautiful historic grounds, a town bursting with culture and character and vibrancy, and an energy than none of the other 15 schools I toured could match. I moved here not knowing a soul and not knowing where I was headed, but pretty sure it would lead to something good. It's 1,640 days later, and this place has every part of me. Why did I come to UGA? Here's why. Giddily waiting in line for 45 min. for Big City Bread on a Saturday morning│Coming back from Thanksgiving break to a twinkling downtown│Spending a Sunday afternoon in April with a book and a quilt on north campus.│Dr. Lee, Dr. A, Dr. Jones, Dr. Reber, Dr. Aldridge│5&10, The National, Branded Butcher, Heirloom Cafe, Cine, Georgia Theatre, Walkers, Ted's, Cecilia's, Rooftop, etc. ...
