“We shot “The Whale Lagoon” documentary feature film over three years using a symphony of RED Cameras. We benefitted from the small size of the #KOMODO for the first part of the shoot, alongside the classic #DRAGON6K. During the last part of the shoot in 2023, the new #VRAPTORS35 RHINO provided the extra quality we needed. RHINO served as our A Cam with large format cinema glass, used in small shoots in jungles, on Shotovers, and even underwater. The V-RAPTOR delivered excellent resolution and reliability, working in the most intense environments. Cameras were constantly splashed by water, exposed to extreme cold and humidity in high altitudes outside Mexico City, salt and dust in the Baja desert, and ice and glaciers in Alaska. Yet, the cameras never failed to deliver. I am truly impressed by the cameras, and the production team is happy to make them our weapons of choice.” -Cinematographer Franco Campos-Lopez Benyunes Credits: Produced by magenentertainment and reearthinitiative xi...
