The experience was extraordinary – I could rarely see my camera’s viewfinder but kept shooting, attempting to tame the visual chaos. As I emerged from the water, I heard the chatter of nearby campers and wondered if they had any idea of the incredible event taking place just meters from their crackling fire pits.
