[Post 3/14 for sherpascinema takeover telling the story of #LovedByAll, shot in The Khumbu Valley and the surrounding Himalaya.] _ Apa Sherpa and his mother were hit by an avalanche while herding yaks when he was just a baby, his mom hiding behind a yak to shelter them from debris. He ended up on top of the snow, completely unscathed. Monks then named him Apa, which means “Loved by All” in Nepalese. His positivity and tenacity in the mountains led him to a World Record 21 ascents of Mt. Everest.
