TimLaman takeover [5/8] telling the story of the BBC #PlanetEarth2 shoot in the remote islands of West Papua, Indonesia. Objective: filming the elusive Red Bird-of-Paradise from the top of the rain forest canopy. Success! The #birds show up! First three males came and started calling and hopping up and down their bare sticks. Then females and young males started showing up. I think at one point there were seven or eight birds there. I started to get some good behavior on this morning, but building a sequence about the whole courtship ritual of these birds required a lot more days up there to get all the needed shots. #RedBirdofParadise #Indonesia #PlanetEarth2 #BirdDay #ShotonRED #REDEPIC
