Up next for Student Employee Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating our Lakefront Operations team, who make sure that life is better at the lake. Our Lakefront employees consistently go above and beyond to ensure that Lakefront facilities and operations run smoothly! Meet Justin McGowan, a Guest Services Representative at the FSU Rez Lakefront Park, who’s coming up on two years of working with Campus Rec! One of his fondest memories is actually from his first day on the job, when another employee helped welcome him to the Lakefront: “Austin, one of the lifeguards, asked me if I wanted to go on one of their boat roves after just meeting me and he showed me the entirety of the lakes. He also pointed out the panther exhibit from the Tallahassee Museum that you can see from the lake.
