During last nights press conference following No.5 Utah’s 77-66 loss to No.4 Gonzaga, utahwbb Head Coach Lynne Roberts revealed that her team had been victim to a series of racial hate crimes while staying in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The head coach did not go into detail, however Utah’s deputy AD Charmelle Greene told KSL.com the N-word had been yelled at the team on multiple occasions as the team was out for dinner. Roberts said what her team endured made it difficult for the players to focus on their games against South Dakota State and Gonzaga, using the “shocking” to describe the series of events.
