Congratulations to our WSL Impact award winners Carissa Moore, Kanoa Igarashi and @puadesoto 🏆🎉
The WSL Impact Award recognizes individual surfers who demonstrate the greatest impact and outstanding effort to inspire, educate, and empower our global surf community to protect our ocean to preserve the future of our sport. Award winners align to WSL Purpose efforts in both sustainability and equality and inclusion.
Central to the award is the word Po’okela which aligns to individuals who strive for excellence and do outstanding work. Individuals who use their unique personality and gifts to contribute to the world in meaningful ways. Because of Po’okela, we go beyond the bare minimum. Doing that opens a space of aloha for others to do the same.
The WSL Impact award trophies presented this year are traditional Hawaiian “Alaia” surfboards created by Leleo Kinimaka of Royal Hawaiian Woodwork. Check their work out on Instagram @royalhawaiianwoodwork
