California and Mexico based organization and WSL PURE grantee @NativeLikeWater prepares and integrates teens and adults of under-represented populations into ocean recreation, conservation, wellness, and inter-generational cultural exploration. The grant from @wslpure helped to: 🌀 Engage 400 participants across 7 Indigenous led events 💙 Create an Indigenous Narrative Ocean Stewardship Program 🦪 Support oyster restoration efforts, beach cleanups and youth surf camps at the US Open 🌊 Celebrate Indigenous people who have long stewarded our beloved surf zones by helping bring together a coalition of partners at the #RipCurlWSLFinals for a tule boat demonstration including Dr. Stan Rodriguez of @k_c_c_2005, Acjachemen Tribal members, @CAStateParks, @sanonofreparksfoundation, and more.
