Thank you to those who attended our Virtual Open House. And yes, we were Zoom Bombed! It can happen to the best of us. What have we learned from it? 1) Only allow the host to share the screen. It’s a simple change in the setting and we simply forgot. 2) Use a password if you can. We made a conscious decision not to use a password. Why? Because we wanted to make it as easy as possible for everyone to join. It was a risk we were willing to take. 3) Keep Current! With all the recent news on zoom bombing, we simply didn’t keep up. It’s the would’ve, could’ve, should’ve. 4) Keep Calm and Carry On. Instead of losing our cool, the team simply got to work, booted the bombers, locked the session, then carried on. The positive side of this experience? We are going to use this real life example in one of our lessons plans. Yes, that’s right!
