Snow Drop brought home another medal from the 2021 Great American Beer Festival tonight, winning a Bronze in the Historical Beer category. This is the second Bronze for Snow Drop in this category, the first coming in 2015. A Köttbusser Ale, the beer was outlawed in 1877 by the German beer purity law because it is brewed with oats, wheat, molasses, and honey. When Grimm Brothers opened in 2010, Snow Drop was on the menu and we believe that there was not another brewery in the world brewing a Köttbusser at that time. It has been a main line beer for us since we opened and a very popular one at that.
