Each year the Chiawa Safaris guiding team has intensive training, upskilling and crucial refreshers, and 2024’s training might have been the most fun and challenging course yet, where our entire guiding and spotting team traveled from across Zambia to meet at Chiawa Camp for intensive bush skill work. Not only did we fly in a pair of Africa’s most accomplished tracker-trainers, we have also engaged two “ex-hunters” from the community areas for a dose of old school local knowledge.
