Huayi 2024 was legendary (quite literally). We were graced by the presence of megastars wang_liza and hangtonglaw in two stunning Cantonese opera shows, one of which was of the illustrious warrior princess Mu Gui Ying. The other legends at Huayi include the iconic Justice Bao in comediansworkshop’s crosstalk show and the Four Beauties of ancient China in a pingtan concert by the acclaimed Shanghai Pingtan Troupe. To top it all off, the fingerplayers adapted Liaozhai’s legendary classic anthology into a super intense theatre show accompanied by official.rudra’s Vedic metal music.
