Not sketchy, just sketching—that's i_am_davo’s jam for Jazz in July. We discovered David's jazzy artwork over IG and had to feature him and his drawings. He says, “I love the mythology, spirit and groove of jazz, as well as the sub-genres it birthed! As a novice trumpet player myself, I very much aspire to one day be able to run up and down notes with the ease of Dizzy Gillespie.” David is an urban planner who is inspired by Singapore’s environment and heritage and sketches all around the city to challenge himself, to become a better sketcher. Drawing these fast-moving jazz musicians fulfils this challenge and brings him joy as a jazz lover.
