Here's our production team bringing up the massive ballet wagon (a sprung floor which absorbs shock) for da:ns festival's International Stars of Ballet this weekend. This sprung floor is usually hidden under our Theatre stage, but we raise it for dance performances and the regular stage floor is then lowered to take its hiding place. Only trained personnel are authorised to make this switch happen, and there are only a few of these button-pushers in the entire company that can do this, all within two hours.
