Before digital audio, we had… *drum roll please* live bands playing on air! We #throwback to the days of Radio Television Singapore (RTS), our first broadcast station that launched in the early ’60s. The RTS had its own orchestra, which often performed show tunes because swing and the big band sound were popular then. This was the golden age of jazz, when spiffy suits, dance socials and cabarets were in, and jazz was played everywhere.
