Full houses of Zat Pwe admirers throughout this final weekend of #dansfestival at our Outdoor Theatre. Zat Pwe is a stylised form of dance theatre that draws from the music, songs and court dramas of Myanmar's monarchial past. Traditionally, Zat Pwe performances would last all-night combining dance with melodrama, comedy and acrobatics, coinciding with Buddhist festivals and ceremonies.
